About

My name is Mohammed and I have completed my B. Sc in Marine Geology 2007. At the present I am working as a Teacher Assistant in the Faculty of Marine Sciences, Marine Geology Department. My duties include assisting the professors and the students in the Lab and supervising the field trips. I have a wide range knowledge in the GIS, and I teaching the Fundamentals of GIS for both undergraduate and graduate students.

I'm particularly interested in the field of Marine Paleoenvironments by using the marine micropaleontology (Benthonic Forams), geochemical tracers, Isotope and age dating. I am planning to study Marine Micropaleontology and use the stable isotope O18 or C13. Also, I have ambitious to study the trace elements in the foraminifera shells and add the Geochemistry field with my projects.

Paleoceanography is study the development of the ocean systems. These developments include surface circulation, bottom-water circulation, planktonic and benthonic biogeography developments and rates of organic evolution, biogenic productivity and its effect on the sediments distributions. Calcium Carbonate and silica deposition rates and dissolution.

By the end of this year, I will start my MSc program in Oregon State University, College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences.
